Worked all day with the RAP Riders Academy team on set up, feel like between us we go the gearing spot on & settings pretty quick. Was great weather & felt so good round Pembrey track. Had some guidance from Harry [Ohvale UK]about improving my suspension which worked great.

⏱️ Qualifying
Was looking forward to qualifying and i headed into it aiming to put a PB on the board for every every session. The pace increase with myself & Tyler the only riders getting into the sub 1:06 in the FIM 160 with Tyler in P1 with 105.4 & myself P2 105.5

In the 160/50 Open Class was reasonably happy with P4 105.8 although I’d not quite matched the Q2 time I could do with a on the same bike.

🏁 Race 1
Starting from P2 myself and Tyler got off the line well but my exit line wasn’t ideal in turn 1 & lost my drive to Wilson on the next straight. I come up the inside on the exit of turn 3 to regain P2, then got into P1 before the chicane. Back across the finish line & into turn 1 Wilson overtook me for the lead, & I overtook him in on the same place as lap one. Settling into the lead putting in some fast laps out in the for next few laps sub 1:05 & stretched out a lead of 6.5 seconds to take my first win of the season in the FIM 160cc series.

Gutted for teammate Tyler who lost the front on the chicane at a fast part of the track, glad to see he was ok. Well done to Joshua having a great battle with Frankie for 3rd & 4th with a whisker between them at the flag.

🏁 Race 2
Starting in P1 after my race 1 laptime 1:05.3 I felt I just had to pull the pin from the start & got off really well as riders battled behind me. Putting in a 1:08.6 from the grid then mid 1:05 for every lap of the race & taking the win. Well done to teammate Tyler getting P2 after starting from 5th & Joshua again taking P4.

🏁 Race 1
Starting P4 I got off well into P2, Tyler got past me into P2 then Arnie came out of nowhere & took us both into turn 4. Slipstreaming behind them both was incredible & I got back into P3 before the chicane. Felt like I needed to get onto the back of Arnie as he had been fast in qualifying which paid off with me doing a PB of the weekend in tow with a 1:05.08 tagging onto Arnie as we caught up P1. Again the slipstreaming was quite incredible staying with them doing early mid 1:05 laps, Arnie took the lead, I got into P2, then back to P3 then before I knew it, last lap board was out. I thought I’m gonna go for it on last corner but unfortunately we come across a lapped rider & I slightly lost a little momentum & got pipped for P2 by Daniel by .08 of a second! Well done to Arnie for the Win & it was the best race of the weekend for me, good fun.

🏁 Race 2
Starting P3, got into P2 & felt here we go again. Arnie came past me on the exact same corner so immediately thought I’ll try & stick with him again, P1 & P2 had pulled away a little this time. Tyler overtook me & was into P4, we had a few exchanges of position early in the race & then on the final corner & got a good slipstream on the straight to the flag to take P3.
