So, where do I start. Most of this will be covered in my upcoming vlog on YouTube. We got treated like MotoGP riders from the start from collected our team wear, leathers, boots, helmet & gloves etc all customised.
We had riders briefing, mechanics briefing, photo shoots with the bikes. Honestly words can’t really describe how well organised it was. Our 🇬🇧 race tent was fully kitted out with tools etc was mind blowing.
⏱️ Free Practice
So free practice was all timed, we even had tyre allocation set by Pirelli. I improved every session in group C
FP1 – 47.6 8th
FP2 – 46.3 7th
FP3 – 45.9 7th
FP4 – 45.4 6th
This determined if you went into Q1, Q2 or Q3, the format is tough, especially when a lot of riders had been here last year too & also some riders get the opportunity to train at this track.
⏱️Qualifying
Improved every session & even though myself & Wilson were only 1.2 off the top overall FP time we sat in 23rd & 24th overall in FP4 which put us both into Q1.
So into Q1 we go, Wilson smashed in a 44.8 & sat comfortably in P1 in Q1 & pulled in to save his tyres during the session. Wilson progressed to Q2 & I missed out by 0.02 in 5th but set my PB of the event again, the times were so tight.
Had to regroup, felt positive going into the races but one slight stinger was everyone’s allocated tyre for Q1,Q2 & Q3 plus Qualifying Races 1 & 2.

🏁 Race 1
My grid position for Race 1 was P9, I really had my work cut out as need P2 or P1 to progress but was confident & went into the race thinking I’ve got a chance of getting upto the front at the very least. Got a great start jumped into P6 & just had to get my head down, chipping away, having to overtake on a very difficult track but lap by lap worked my upto P3 but now had to close a decent gap to the front two. Didn’t take long for me to catch up with them, overtook them & was suddenly in the lead. My heart rate was pumping, they were both right behind me, slipped into P2 & unfortunately I missed the last lap board in the intense racing, & P3 made a move on the last lap final corner. Crossing the line in P3, I was heartbroken. I’d worked so hard but it just wasn’t to be. I’d say it was the best race of my life, in a race at world level!! So after a little reflection 🥉ain’t that bad.
Wilson pulled in during the race to save his tyres for Race 2 as he got caught up in slower traffic & couldn’t get past them.
🏁 Race 2
So we go again, unfortunately I had to start P7 despite my P3 in race 1.
Only the winner progressed so my work would be cut out again, got off to a good start but was battling with 🇺🇸 rider which let the leaders get away from me & I was sat in P5 desperate for the riders in front to battle it out so I could catch up but it didn’t pan out that way & I finished P5.
So P3 & P5 & my World Finals was over, but what an experience. We stopped to cheer on Ethan who got a 🥉 place Podium in the finals Race 2 which was incredible.
I’ve got to thank, my team Steve, Harry & Danny plus Wilson for making this such fun. We worked so hard to get the best we could & I think we achieved that doing Ohvale UK & the BMB proud.
Thanks to my all Sponsors & patreon members as without them this wouldn’t be possible.
