Race Report from Round 3 at Cumbria Rowrah in the OMG Racing – British Mini Bikes Championship
⏱️ Practice
Weather was fantastic , pushing my lap times all day tweaking my set-up on the 110 & 160. Was really looking forward to the races.
⏱️ Qualifying 110cc / 160cc
Qualifying conditions was gorgeous & qualified Pole position in the 110cc & P3 in the 160 which was my highest ever grid start in the 160 open class.
🏁 Race 1 110cc Open / Ohvale UK Cup
Unfortunately on the sighting lap coming round to the grid my engine stalled, I tried to restart the bike several times & the Marshall also tried a couple times but he was then told on the radio too get me clear of the track. So sadly had to sit this one out watching from the Marshall post with my dad.

🏁 Race 2 110cc
As I hadn’t logged a lap time in race one I had to start the race from the back of the grid. Had a great chat with British Talent Cup rider Harley McCabe who helped me put together a plan for the race. With this plan in mind i took to the grid ready for the race. Got a fantastic start taking 4 riders before the first corner, then had to make a move on P2 on the first hairpin which then set me to close down on Parker in P1. Staying with Parker until the end of lap 8 where i waited to make my mode on the final corner take get into 1st position & hold on to the lead to Win.

🏁 Race 3 110cc
Back on Pole for the start of the final race, started well & lead the whole race. Unfortunately Parker came off behind me mid race, he tried to rejoined but his foot peg was loose or come off so sadly he had to retire. Great to get a couple of wins under my belt after a disappointing start to the 110 weekend.

🏁 Race 1 160cc Open / Ohvale Cup
P3 start for the race we put on a new rear tyre for the race as i felt i was loosing grip on the rear. Didn’t feel confident with the rear of the bike at the start of the race but it eventually come to me & had to hold off Daniel for the race to come 3rd in class & 1st in the Ohvale 160 Cup.
Open 🥇 Arnie Carr 🥈 Parker Cesari 🥉 HKC217
🏁 Race 2 160
Again from P3 was confident with the bike & felt i had the pace to push for a win. Arnie stormed off & thought override so had to battle with Parker which i did feel i had the pace to test him this race but this time was faced with engine problems so had to drop the pace a little & ease the bike home for another 3rd in class & 1st in the ohvale 160 cup.
Open 🥇 Arnie Carr 🥈 Parker Cesari 🥉 HKC217
🏁 Race 3 160
This time with intermittent rain we opted for wets which was the right choice for the 160 Cup as it was spitting quite bad but then stopped for the remainder of the race. Didn’t feel the need to push as was happy with a 4th in class & another 1st in the Ohvale 160 Cup.
Open 🥇 Arnie Carr 🥈 Cesari 🥉 Daniel Stephenson
✍🏼 Fantastic Round despite a disappointing start to the 110 races, but happy with my results & we had a great time too with the weather holding out until my final 160 race.
