Race Report – Three Sisters

⏱ Friday Practice

Good day, was really nice weather & plenty of track time with 8 sessions. Was fastest in class on & off all day pretty much. We made a few adjustments in the final two sessions, dialling in the gearing & rear suspension. Was happy as beat my last years PB & bagged a 1:08.11 on the final session which is over a second quicker than last years race winning pace, I also felt I could get into the 1:07 marker.

⏱ Saturday Warm Up

Bike felt perfect, weather was good & topped Practice 1 & 2 in class, in P2 I got into the 1:07.60.

⏱ Qualifying

All weekend I’d been tweaking my lines & looking at the lap times at my alfano as I crossed the line. Managed to put in a 1:07.89 on lap 7 to get Pole In Class. Front row !!!!!!!

🏁 Race 1

🏁Race 2 – 11min15sec 🏁Race 3 – 3hr11min

Had a brilliant start, I’ve been practicing them lots. Sat behind Valentino on his gp bike as long as I could 1st in class, put hammer down & got what would turn out to be the new JSM90 Lap Record 1:07.10 !!! Did 4 out of my 8 laps in the 1:07 marker, I knew that I’d be fine & should be on route to my ever JSM90 Win. I knew where 2nd was on track so eased was comfortable.

Come over the top of the hill & could see what seemed like everyone up on the pit fence& along the pit wall cheering me over the line for my first every JSM90 Win !!!!! When rolled into the paddock, the cheering & applause was unbelievable, it felt so good. 🥇

⏱ Sunday Warm Up

Sunday morning we knew it was going to rain in the night so got wets on ready for morning practice at least. Went out just to get a feel for the bike more than anything, track was damp but sun was peaking through. Knew it would be drying quick.

🏁 Race 2

By the time it was my Race 2 the track was dry, & knew what I had to do. Same as race 1, good start, keep up the lap times I knew I could do. Unfortunately Valentino missed the paraded lap time & had to start at the back so knew I’d just have to go out on my own & lead the race & put in consistent times which I did. Was better than I expected coming round to the chequered flag & it to be held then waved for me. Again the ppl on the paddock wall was up on the fence & all way along. Felt better than my first win. 🥇

🏁 Race 3

So buy dinner we knew some rain was due, it actually come early about 12pm, the track dried out again but still said some could be due at 2pm. Oh the drama, we was happy with slicks but about 20min before the race it started to spit slightly. I was happy it was going to pass by & be dry but my dad wasn’t. Last min he said we going front wet rear dry just in case.

On the parade lap front end felt shocking, I told my dad on the grid. He said do best you can, look the rain is coming.

I really had to fight with the bike for 4 laps as front just didn’t feel great, but lap 4 I could see the rain on my visor. It quickly changed to my front now feeling ok & my rear slipping. But had to deal with it best I could, I could see riders behind me dropping off pace so knew I had the gap to ease it home as the final laps got more wet in track. 🥇 in class & 🥇🏆 overall. The 3rd race was the hardest to manage but managed & it worked out ok.

So that’s it, my first win, well 3 wins in the BMB. A prefect weekend, Pole, 3 wins & the lap record. Collect my trophy next round which will go next to my 🥉place 🏆 from last round at Whilton Mill.
