⏱ Fri Practice
Going to Whilton I was confident as I held last years Lap Record 1:00.77, Travis broke my lap record first after dinner with a 1:00.11, Few more tweaks & some more coaching from Dicko the penultimate session I did a 59.59 , was really happy set the new lap record.

⏱ Qualifying Saturday
First & second practice in the morning was slippery & everyone was slower than yesterday’s pace, the track felt slippy.

We went into qualifying in the afternoon knowing the rain was about to come, One final look & we knew it would pass over us during the session. We opted to smash in a lap ASAP get a time on the board. Lap 1 I was fastest with a 1:02, lap 2 I put in a 1:00.02 again fastest & I seen that time on my dash and was happy, lap 3 the drizzle started to come so backed off, but still got caught out as my front went into oblivion & I slid off on lap 4. Few other riders come off in the conditions & qualifying was red flagged 🚩. This was my first Pole Position in racing & was really happy.

🏁 Race 1 Saturday
Felt so good rolling up to Pole for the start, the lights failed, we had to do a another sighting lap as they decided to do a flag start. So rolled up again, I released the clutch too quickly & did a wheelie, managed to get it down but lost out to Leo, I got past Leo & was leading the race. Travis & Jack behind me battling for 2nd & 3rd, I lead from lap 2 until the penultimate lap where Jack got past me. I was happy with 🥈& the top took the flag 0.6 seconds between us.

I got a flying start from 3rd on the grid straight into first, but Jack took me. Held onto 2nd place as long as I could & this time Travis overtook me on the penultimate. Happy again 🥉.

Another flying start into 1st this time held off Jack until lap 5 then was gained on my Travis & he overtook me on the last lap to take 2nd. Travis set the JSM90 Lap Record of 58.59 which is about 2seconds faster than last year! happy with 🥉 & the 3 podium finishes over the weekend.

Overall position 🥉 🏆
