RACE REPORT from @claypigeonraceway in the All Seasons Interiors Ltd – Rich Energy British Mini Bikes Championship #jsm90 class

⏱Friday Practice
Good day learning the track PB all day session after session getting the settings & gearing right.

⏱ Qualifying – 5th Position
Went a little tactical during qualifying, logged a time then changed lines on final 3 laps which worked & got me a new PB. Decided we was going to use the new line for Race 1

🏁 Race 1 – 4th
Really good race, was really close between #36 LEO SOILLEUX, #41 HARVEY SAVILLE & myself battling for 3rd / 4th & 5th place. I got hung up behind a back marker around lap 5 & lost 1.5 seconds on Leo & Harvey but got back in contention for the last few laps. We crossed the line within 3/4 of second behind each other. Unfortunately Harvey got a jump start penalty of +15sec.

🏁 Race 2 – 5th
Oh the drama, Sunday morning it was raining very very heavy. Forecast said all day so we prepped the bike the day before for a wet race. Just we first practice was about to start it stopped raining. Now was the dilemma of if it’s going to hold out for our race. We opted to stick on the slicks as the track was dry, the forecast said it was raining, when it wasn’t.

Race started well & I got in front of Harvey for a lap but he got his place back then it was Harvey & me chasing until the chequered flag. We crossed the line a few tenths of a second behind each other for 4th & 5th.

🏁 Race 3 – 2nd 🥈

Was a interesting one, just as we entered the holding area it started to rain slightly & mist riders had opted for Slicks. Track was still dry until lap 8 & I eased off the pace slightly when I seen Harvey slide off in the conditions, then 1 lap later Travis also come off in the wet at quite a fast part of the track and the race was 🚩 Red flagged. Thankfully both riders are ok.
